Email Recovery Changes.

Dear clients,


As time goes on we are seeing more and more people expanding their email services and usage.

This has brought with it a greater need for more technical support as there has been a considerable increase in email issues everywhere.


As these issues are generally specific to an email address or domain and there have been greater demands placed on time and resource usage.

Location of individual emails and other issues external to our own equipment and services can no longer be supported by our support staff.


Please bear in mind when requesting support, that time spent on all issues determined to be outside of our support area may be invoiced at the rate of $90 per hour.

Request of that support is a binding contract.


There are public tools online for those who wish to track email or domain information or whether a server happens to be blacklisted, etc.

If you are waiting to receive an email from someone and not receiving it, that is generally an issue with the sending server.

If it happens to be on one of the many blacklists, those providers that utilize that technology will block any email from that sender.


When presenting the information to us or another provider for support, please try to provide as much information regarding the issue as possible.


We will support our clients and our services but tight business times prevent us from supporting other providers clients or services.

Cadomains Renewal Modifcation

I would like to inform our clients that we are doing some Internal modification to the our .ca renewal system.

All .ca domain names will be manually updated and renewed until we have completed necessary changes to our system.

The .ca domain name renewals will be sent out with a copy of their paid invoice as proof of domain name renewal.

Any other TLD .com, .nets, .info ect. will not be effected by this update. If any are we will do the same manual update as we would do for the .ca domain names.

Server Complication and Outage.

We have determined the recent problem with the servers. The reason for the Friday server outage as well as the cause of the most recent server disruptions were due to intermittent faulty hardware. Which has now been repaired.

We are currently in the process of upgrading hardware in hopes to eliminate these problems entirely.

We have expanded our I.T staff to help with the monitoring of the servers and for after hours emergency care. With these two new improvement we are confident that we will no longer experience and server complication we have had thus far.

Server Connection Lost

 Server Connection Lost:


This Morning due to loss of server connection our service was interrupted. The connection loss affected a large number of servers throughout Alberta this morning.


Our servers lost connection at 5:20 am on February 27, 2017. We were able to regain service connection by 8:22 am February 27, 2017.


We apologies for any disruption this may have caused to our clients. All services have been restored and are functioning smoothly.

Chrome Warning - for Web Hosting Clients

New Security Warnings for non HTTPS secured forms.

As of January 2017 Google Chrome will be displaying warning signs to people that try to enter information into a form that is not protected with an SSL certificate. A "Not Secured" warning will appear which could affect your users trust and damage Google search engine rankings.

Other browsers are expected to follow.

If you operate a website then you may need to look into these new requirements. You may need to purchase an SSL certificate to secure your website.

New Icewarp Interface - Email Password reminder

This morning, due to an attack on the email server we encountered some service interruptions. We are actively blocking the attack and will continue to monitor the situation.

The attack was let in due to a poorly constructed email password for an Administrative account.

Please take a moment to review your Administrative and User Passwords to ensure that they meet the following requirements:

Must be 8 characters long
Must contain one number
Must contain one Uppercase letter
Do not include special characters

We would like to thank you very much for taking the time to review your passwords.

In addition, you will notice that the Icewarp interface has changed significantly. We will be working on updating our knowledgebase articles to help you navigate through the new Icewarp system. You will also be able to find Help items within Icewarp to answer any of yoru immediate questions.
