New Mail Server - Implementation begining Feb. 1, 2012
Posted by Tanis Arcuri on 30 January 2012 02:39 PM

We will begin the implementation of a brand new mail server starting Feb.1, 2012.

We will send an email to the Administrative contact we have on file for your Web Hosting Account with the date and time we have scheduled to migrate your services over to the new mail server. We do not expect a significant amount of downtime during the migration.

If you store emails on the mail server we will supply you with instructions on how to migrate your emails from the old to the new server. We will also supply instructions on how to set up your POP3 Accounts.

Along with the new server, you will have a new webmail program called Mail Enable. You will have access to individual SPAM settings and there will no longer be a separate Admin login.

Please refer to the Knowledgebase in the coming days for articles on how to manage and operate your new Mail server/webmail system, or for any questions you may have.

Please Submit a Helpdesk Ticket with the questions you may have regarding the migration process.

If you are currently using the Free parking email account, you will remain on the original mail server. These migration processes will not affect your email account.

Icewarp Webmail - Lost Contacts issues

Icewarp Webmail - Lost Contacts issues

We have received information that some clients using the Icewarp webmail system have lost the Contacts that they had set up on the server.

Since Icewarp is a third party provider of the webmail software we contacted them directly to have the issue fixed. Icewarp responded that the loss of Contact information is a known issue within their software and they are fixing it. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide information to us on how to retrieve the lost Contacts.

Below are quick keyword instructions on how to import/export contacts so that if you use your Contacts through webmail continuously, you will have a way of easily importing them for use if the Contacts are lost once again. The instructions below are for when you are using the Advanced webmail view. The instructions are similar for the Basic and Mobile interface's as well.

This is a temporary process that hopefully will address your need to be able to have access to your Contacts while Icewarp works on fixing the issue. Or until the issue grows to no longer be acceptable and we find another webmail provider.

----------------------------

Add New Contact

Go to New
Contact
Insert your contact's information
Save

-----------------------------

Export

Once you have created all your Contacts, you can Export them into a backup file

Tools
Import/Export
Select Source Contact Folder
Select CSV Separator
Export CSV file
Export

We suggest the following export filename: webmail_addressbook_date.csv.

-----------------------------

Import

If your Contacts are removed from your webmail account, you can Import your webmail_addressbook_date.csv file.

Tools
Import/Export
Upload your backup file
Select Destination Folder - Contacts
Import
If your Import file has column headings then check the checkbox to Skip first line in csv.
Import

Is it Time to check your Webmail Disk Space?
Posted by Tanis Arcuri on 12 May 2011 02:23 PM

Are you a frequent user of the Icewarp webmail Interface?

A new Knowledgebase article was published describing how you can login to your webmail account and see how much Disk Space you have.

Why would you need to do this?

A. Troubleshooting Mail issues:
If you aren't receiving emails one day, it may be because there isn't sufficient space left in your disk quota to allow for the receipt of that email. Get confirmation by finding how much space is available. (if you have sufficient disk space and you still aren't receiving mail.... send us a ticket!)

You may have received an error message saying that your mailbox exceeds its disk quota. Now you can confirm how much mail you have in account.

B. To track if you need to increase your Disk Storage or not. If storage is becoming an issue and you are constantly watching your disk space climb... perhaps its time to increase your space and give you a little more breathing room.

... Did you also know that there are 3 different versions of the Webmail Interface? There is Advanced, Basic, and Mobile!
