Icewarp Webmail - Lost Contacts issues We have received information that some clients using the Icewarp webmail system have lost the Contacts that they had set up on the server. Since Icewarp is a third party provider of the webmail software we contacted them directly to have the issue fixed. Icewarp responded that the loss of Contact information is a known issue within their software and they are fixing it. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide information to us on how to retrieve the lost Contacts. Below are quick keyword instructions on how to import/export contacts so that if you use your Contacts through webmail continuously, you will have a way of easily importing them for use if the Contacts are lost once again. The instructions below are for when you are using the Advanced webmail view. The instructions are similar for the Basic and Mobile interface's as well. This is a temporary process that hopefully will address your need to be able to have access to your Contacts while Icewarp works on fixing the issue. Or until the issue grows to no longer be acceptable and we find another webmail provider. ---------------------------- Add New Contact Go to New ----------------------------- Export Once you have created all your Contacts, you can Export them into a backup file Tools We suggest the following export filename: webmail_addressbook_date.csv. ----------------------------- Import If your Contacts are removed from your webmail account, you can Import your webmail_addressbook_date.csv file. Are you a frequent user of the Icewarp webmail Interface? A new Knowledgebase article was published describing how you can login to your webmail account and see how much Disk Space you have. Why would you need to do this? A. Troubleshooting Mail issues: You may have received an error message saying that your mailbox exceeds its disk quota. Now you can confirm how much mail you have in account. B. To track if you need to increase your Disk Storage or not. If storage is becoming an issue and you are constantly watching your disk space climb... perhaps its time to increase your space and give you a little more breathing room. ... Did you also know that there are 3 different versions of the Webmail Interface? There is Advanced, Basic, and Mobile! Read more »

Issues Sending email with Micorosoft Outlook

Due to the recent numbers of Helpdesk Tickets involving Microsoft Outlook emails that are left stalled or hanging in your Outbox, we have prepared the following instructions on how to correct the issue in your Outlook settings. ------------------------------------ Your Outgoing SMTP server should be the SMTP of your current Internet Service Provider (ISP). Therefore, if you have Shaw, Telus, Bell, or another company providing your Internet service at the site where you are accessing your computer, then please ensure that the corresponding SMTP server listed below is in your POP3 account settings. To check your Account Settings in Outlook: Open Outlook Incoming mail Server: mail.yourdomainname.ca If the outgoing SMTP mail server listed in your Account Settings is your ISP server, is spelled correctly and you still are unable to send emails; then please contact your ISP to have them troubleshoot and resolve the Sending issue with your mail. Thank you very much. Tanis Arcuri Read more »
